The Shifting Sands

Sand movement is a continuous natural process in which individual sand grains are transported from one place to another by wind, causing sand dunes to shift and change shape. It is one of the most characteristic geomorphological phenomena of arid and desert regions and is widespread throughout the Gobi Desert of Mongolia.
