Writing Systems

Since the emergence of the Mongolian people and ethnic groups and the establishment of Mongolian statehood, our ancestors have created and used five distinct writing systems through their own intellectual and creative ingenuity, employing them in matters of state, religion, and culture.

This sculpture brings together these five writing systems in a single artistic composition:

• Xhunnu (Rünnic) Script

• Mongolian Script

• Square Script

• Tod Mongolian Script

• Soyombo Script

These historic writing systems have been expressed and brought together through the language of sculpture as a representation of Mongolia's rich intellectual, cultural, and historical heritage.
